The Avani Winery and Food + Wine Pop Up has five more days of service before Kate & Mal. This Thursday – Australia Day – will see a special five-course modern-barbecue tasting menu. “One element of each dish will be cooked on the charcoal. Think, damper and straccitella, barbecue quail, barbecue lamb rack and our take on a ice vo vo dessert,” says Kate, the price is $70 per person.
They will then be open from Friday to Monday from noon for lunch-only. Monday is their last day at Avani (unless they all collaborate on another pop up) and for anything else from these two, it won’t be until way later in the year, as they are back to Sydney then off to France to cook through the summer in the south of France as part of The Paris Popup.
