I started writing for Broadsheet in 2010. The site was only about six months old and I was looking for more work. I’ve had a lot of fun so far with these guys. Here are some pieces from the last five years:

Tattoo Me Tasty – I found people who dedicated their skin to food tatts. Fun, clever, committed folk who express themselves in pretty pics of food.

Eating with David Chang  – I interviewed David Chang when he visited Melbourne for the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in 2102. Woohoo!

A Golden Narrative  – I wrote this story about the collaboration of creatives, pulled together by chef Andrew McConnell to build the restaurant, Golden Fields. It has since become Luxembourg Bistro, still co-owned by McConnell.

The Attica Gardens at Ripponlea  – this piece was a pleasure to write. I walked through the gardens of Rippon Lea with acclaimed chef Ben Shewry discussing his approach to food, produce, gardening and cooking.

After Service is a series I write about chefs in Melbourne and what makes them tick in the kitchen and during their downtime. So far I’ve chatted to:

Nicky Riemer of Union Dining, Richmond

Ashleigh Davis from Pure South at Southgate

Tim Sweeney from The Last Jar, West Melbourne

Peter Gunn of Ides Melbourne

Ryan Flaherty of Mr Jennings, Richmond
